do you mostly use the effect sends on samples in the multi or programs?

thanks! 8)

If you only want to affect a snare in your kit then use the send in
your program. If you want to affect the whole program along with the snare
either or is fine.

I mainly use multi not for sending (mixer page is better) but I use it
for assigning outs when I track a whole phrase loop into my daw.

Multi can be very useful when using keygroup programs layering!

I mostly did that at Multi level (well, "part" level) -
FX's are saved as part of the Multi, so for a live set, I'd often change multis from song to song, so as to basically change what FX I was putting on the same collection of programs.

off topic:
do you use external midi for controlling this?

No I use the qlinks and the knobs.

If you know syntex along with some kind of controller maybe you can I haven`t tried.
