£1800 ($2731) or best offer, from the pics looks like a first reissue model. Not a bargain by any means, but appears to be in good shape.

I have seriously forgotten about the gear that I've had or been around thru the years. I just remembered yesterday that my best friend had a sp12 ... Thought it was still in his closet. Called him yesterday like yo lemme hold that down. He told me it was stolen in his car a couple years ago. Heart breaking

Some good scores going down on SP's at the moment.

@Coz Blue SP12 and blue MPC4000 that's a dope combo right there. The SP retains your samples when powered down unlike the SP1200, same sound, same filters, same operation. Essentially it is an SP1200 with halved sampling time and 24 internal drums, but no internal floppy drive. The manuals are virtually identical to my eyes. Glad one of us scooped it up!

@ marrelarre good score on the SP1200 with flightcase, the eBay seller would have sold for less than £1500, but he's playing the game. The fact that it hasnt sold already tells him something. Post up some pics when you get a chance.

@psr congrats at last! Will catch up in the 60 forum and see what's up with the 60II.

This is a transistor. Seems like a mod but IDK the benefit it could bring. Probably has something to do with the psu because these kind of transistor are used for such things

"I'm pretty confident this is the black reissue made in 1991. Its very hard to tell by the color. "

This goes against what I've been able to find out about the different versions. The SP1200 in the auction appears to have a grey body, so I see what the seller means. I don't know, I dont really care that much now. At first I though that it was a reissue chassis that had a grey body put on, but I'm no expert on SP's, so I'm not sure.

That one on Gumtree. I know the seller, bought my MPC3000LE from him. Keeps changing his mind about selling the SP1200 after advertising it. I've seen the SP and touched it, been to dudes house recently. Apparently I have first refusal on that one if he's true to his word

Im still in the lead for this, help me not win it!

Its 1100 euro, a catch! 2 hours left, get it!

theres a zero feedback bidder on that auction in the lead now so I guess your all clear,

0 feedback usually spells shill bumping the price , I wont bother placing a bid as that sp looks a bit beat up.

I did a few ebay searches today (europe and worldwide) and that SP didn't show up. The ebay search system is not a good as it could be. Can anyone else catch this German SP1200 in a search or is it just me?? lol

you may be able to retract your bid,

Goodluck,

eager to see the unit you get from Italy, sounds like its in great condition.

also any one got any other tips apart from ebay for sp's?

I got a quote from Usa for shipping coming next week, but I would prefer Europe as I wont have to worry if customs put a nice fat duty charge on non European items.

sometimes you get lucky but I aint willing to take the risk.
