@Horseclick

Yeah I wanna see it too, in person.

But I'm putting my hopes on a realistic level, as long as the interior is good the exterior could be honey boo boo and I'd still be satisfied.

Only thing i was concerned about was the screen, I'll have to take a closer look at that. But those can easily be replaced.

What sucks tho is that I wont be able to get it tihs coming week, and the weekend after that, the 16th, Im gonna visit my gf in Australia for 3 weeks, no SP playing for me.
(Should keep my mouth closed about that matter to her tho, hell would be break loose if I chose machine over her!)

But Im stoked never the less :smoker:

Picking my 4th SP on Thursday :) It is the 94 reissue with thick sliders
Will send some photos of the whole family soon.
It kinda completes the collection now.

1) Sp12 Turbo in mint condition bought from some older gentleman totally not giving a shit abou what he was selling.
2) SP1200 OG 87 model bought from some dude bored out of his ass in Brooklyn.
3) SP1200 96 Reissue mint mint bought in Chicago from an OG.
4) SP1200 94 Reissue thick slider one still on the mother **** UPS track :)

You may ask why.
Well, have had all the mpc's ever made, kept only the classics , but even then, nothing comes close to SP's as far as the swing, the sound / dynamic and FUN of banging shit.

Better 4 than sorry :)

Yes pics would be appreciated in this thread and here viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16801&start=14460

Nothing like more SP sampling time

Does anybody know how to date the grey SP's? Mine dont have an obvious year in the serial like later models????????????????

haha, nah
Sitting on the 60 I, 3k and 4k , plus the 2k OG

And with all that gear in the studio, I pretty much mess only with the Sp12 Turbo / S900 combo.
Go figure.

As for the date on your SP.
You can open it up and on the chasis on its inner side there should be a stamp with a date on it.

Negative. Mine has an E-MU service label with model# and serial# handwritten. No recorded E-MU service history. The floppy drive, SSM2044 chips and some EPROM labels indicate 1987 which is accurate for the grey SP1200. Took some internal pics while she was open which I'll post up later for reference.

yes Likwit crew is indeed the alkaholiks. maybe most famously from that crew is Exibit and Madlib.

that just may be a piece that Madlib rocked at some point in time. He produced for them.

Mos & Defari are tagged under it.
The bottom says "The Almighty" but i can't read the rest.
