Is it safe to manually open the updates to the Ren plugins? OSX blocks this typically, "unidentified developer"

Let my clarify. Just getting to the 1.3 and 1.31 update know but my Mac wont let me open the plug in (wub, bank, etc) updates. Please help

Sounds like Gatekeeper in OS X 10.8. If you downloaded the updates from Akai Pro's website there shouldn't be any "safety" issues. This probably just means that there is no developer certificate for Akai with Apple or none in this package/installer…not necessarily that it's unsafe or malicious.
