Thanks for the comments guys! I'm really happy with how it looks. I pull it out of the case and I'm like oh yeah, lets do this! And then my wife laughs at me. :WTF:

I'm loving the fat pads. Right after I installed them, I had some pads that didn't hit all the time and some that would make the note stick. When I had the problem, I wiggled that pad around and it is fixed. I guess they take a minute to settle in. Working great now.

Wrote two songs with them so far and it's been awesome to leave full level off all the time. My music is better for it. My MPC is more fun to play for sure.

The install was easy. Flip over the MPC and take out the three screws on the left and three screws on the right. Leave the screws in the middle alone. Flip it right side up and take off the three screws in the front and three screws in the back. Lift up the top. Take off your old pads and put on the new ones. You'll need something like a toothpick to push the little guides in place.

I like how the black dial feels rubbery too!

thats where i got my mpc 2500, i asked him to make the rec and overdub buttons black like the rest of the buttons, then swap the LED's in the rec and overdub to blue (or whatever color all your other led's are) then finally make the rec volume knob have a white top instead of a red one so it matched all the other knobs and sliders.
he told me WHAAAAT, imma do this to my mpc, then the next thing you know hes selling them for 50 bucks more with murdered and maxed out black rec and overdub buttons with custom LED's and uniform rec gain knobs    gave me a chuckle and kind of proud to have one of the first mpc's like this.
before i bought that one, he just left those buttons/knobs and LED's red.

I just installed a green lcd on the bottom one. Waiting for an orange lcd for the one with purple pads.

Yeah, the reversal is way better than a bright-ass screen burning images in your eyes. The only thing is the screen is useless without the backlight. This is what I used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150826420761?ss ... 1497.l2649
Before installing, you can choose which of three colors you like(red, green, blue). The OG LCD has these little pins on the back and plugs into a belt of wires. If you buy these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221236436660?ss ... 1497.l2649 , all you need to do is solder them to the new LCD(refer to the OG LCD its your first time soldering). Then connect the plug and try it out! You will need to adjust the contrast where the batteries/ram is.

Thanks man. I've always been a black/gray person. I needed some colors in my life :smoker: Been a huge fan of his art for a while though. I've seen one of his paintings on shrooms, before I've seen the actual painting in a book.
