I know it's possible to convert rex files using Recycle to .wavs and load them up in the 4K but it would be such a time saver if we could import the rex files directly into the sampler.
Is rex import in the works or not???? Does anybody know?

from recycle save as a AKP with the wavs.
then import using aksys.
if you save AKP with midi file you then have essentially the same capabilities as a REX file.

I know about Recycle. That's what I've been using; but when you have thousands and thousands of rex loops (like I do) converting each one individually becomes quite a long tedious task if you get my drift. It would be much easier if we could just import those rex loops straight up in the 4K. Oh well at least we got Recycle for now.

CDxtrakt will batch convert from rex to akai akp. This software cost money. But it is real versatile. I converted large liabraries of kontakt/halion/exs sound to work with my mpc4000.

of course you will not get the midi files, But I know a superstarr producer like you could reprogram any loop.... right.
