Now that I upgraded to version 1.3.1 the software crashes every time I try to load a beat, template, or a new blank project.

Version 1.3 was working perfect for me, and now I can't do any work on music I made on the Ren & Studio.

This is messing with my money, and I'm finally not happy. I uninstalled v1.3.1, and went back to v1.3, but the program is still crashing. SMH (since I do not have a 5000, and didn't have the tempo issue I'm truly upset with myself for rushing to update)

If anyone hasn't upgraded to v1.3.1, and you program is working fine then skip this update.

DAN this is killing me...

Try to do a system restore to revert back to the day before you installed 1.3.1.

Seems the "1" and "2" shortcut keys for the draw and selection tools no longer works. Can anyone else confirm this? I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.8 with 8GB RAM

This is weird. it worked for me on 1.3, but this latest 1.3.1 seems to not work. I also forgot to mention that I'm on the Studio at my workplace, probably shouldnt matter. When I update my Ren at home I'll try again.

What you should do is just delete/uninstall anything Akai related, and start fresh with 1.3! Start by going into /Library/Application Support/Akai/MPC and run the uninstaller for MPC! Run the driver remover. Run the MPC Content uninstaller. Then just delete the entire Akai folder in Application Support. Empty your trash can. Reboot. Then install 1.3 and the driver. Then install all your expansions from the discs that came with the MPC. The run the updaters for the expansions that came with 1.3. And reinstall your MPC Content from your original MPC 1.0 disc. Reboot again and you should be good to go!

Unfortunately I am experiencing more crashes with 1.3.1 in comparison to 1.3. Although I hate to regress, I may be forced to revert to 1.3 if the instability continues. Dammit friends!

Here is a FYI. After I did the 1.3.1 update my MPC software was continually crashing. By a process of elimination it appears that a associated file some where was corrupted. I couldn't load any previously made beats, songs, or templates.

The final fix i had to do was to simply (not so simply) uninstall all of the software, and content. I found some uninstall files that i was able to use to completely remove the driver, software, and content.

These uninstaller can be found in you (Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Akai/MPC) folder. After I ran the three uninstaller files I repaired my disk permissions, and ran a system file cleaner (Clean My Mac). I started from v1.1, and did the upgrade to v1.3, and then v1.3.1 with all of the content.

Everything is now working as expected, and I'm back to work.

I HOPE THAT THIS LONG MESSAGE CAN HELP OTHERS HAVING ISSUES.

Thanks bro. Sorry that I didn't see your reply till now, but this is exactly what I had to do, and all is well now. Salute. This is my first Akai issue, and I hope that it's my last.

Projects created on 1.3 using Omnisphere and/or Arturia synths are not playing back correctly. They are sustaining strangely, playing the wrong keys, making low end noises--really a mess!
