I was going through this thread viewtopic.php?f=11&t=129627 and it got me thinking about one of my book ideas. So I'd appreciate if any of you would care to share how the MPC60/3000 or ASQ-10 sequencer fits into your studio setup. I guess most set-up could conveniently be categorised into the following groups; I'm looking for some good examples of each which highlight the flexible connectivity options.
Simple/basic hook-ups
Intermediate hook-ups
Advanced hook-ups
Just want to get a good idea of the range of ways these machines are actually being used, with particular regard to the midi, audio and sync signal flows. Words, diagrams and Photoshop images all welcome. Are you using turntables/CD decks, midi/audio patchbays, analogue/digital mixers, DI's/Pre's/EQ's, hardware FX/filters, DAWs/plug-ins, rack samplers, synths, drum-machines, HD recorders, monitors/headphones, bass guitars etc...If you could also briefly describe how the set-up works for you that would help too.
