MPC 2500 + SP303 Combo

Hello,

I'm thinking about buying an SP303 to use in combination with my MPC 2500 for the effects/resample capabilities, and I'm wondering if this setup will work.

Turntable (Output) > Mackie ProFX (Tape In)
Mackie ProFX (Tape Out) > SP 303 (Input)
SP 303 (Output) > MPC 2500 (Input)

If I want to hear the sound from my SP303, I'll go to record on my MPC and monitor the sound, I can record Turntable through the SP303 to the MPC, and if I want to resample something from MPC2500 through the SP303 it goes through the tape out, and then from the SP303 to MPC2500 using the SP's Out to the MPC's input.

Will this setup work without causing problems (feedback loops and stuff)?
And do I need assign a sound the a pad (on the SP) to add an effect? or can you add them live?

pretty sure you can effect the incoming audio without recording it, i have been told that you can do that wit the 404 and 555.

im not sure what the tape in/out your talking about is, but it looks like that should work well enough. doing something like that is def doable with your gear, i would just have to have it in front of me to see how it all works. if you do get a feedback loop, just pull the faders down or push the mute buttons!

Tape-in on my Mixer is just an input, for example: your turntable (So you don't have to plug it into an individual channel). Tape-out basically is a main-output.

With the EXT SOURCE button on the 303, you can lace effects from the turntable to the MPC. So no need to sample into the 303 and then sample into the MPC, unless called for.

can same be said for the 202 and using it as an small fx unit??

I think the 202 can only effect live input with the two filters and ring modulator. But only one at a time.

I'm an MPC man, just got the machine a month ago, the SP is just for effects/resampling purpose, the MPC is where the chopping and sequencing happens,
such an comfy machine!
