Hi does anyone have or know how to get the original mpc 3000 sounds that came on 4 floppy disks in '94 & '00(LE) "Standard/Power/Funk/Percussion" Disks/Sounds???? I've been searching FOREVER & my old 2000XL came w/a CD rom of sounds(60/3000/2000xl) BUT it only contained 90 sounds from the 3000, not all of them. My Favorite Producers only used the 3000 for drums/seq(noting else), & I can hear the same 3000 stock drums w/consistancy on many hit records from the past in R&B & hip hop (windchimes/bell trees/open & closed triangles/water drop FX/etc....). I want those sounds!!! from those 90 sounds on the 2kxl cd rom (3000 sounds) I hear a few familiar sample perc sounds. Someone PLZ Help!!!! I've been searching for 5+ yrs!!!

Thanks

who ever said a disk held 64 sounds?
sound length is variable.
disk capacity is static.

All of the stock sounds for the MPC3000 are on the MPC2000XL disc that you already have.

That's for all of u guys input/feedback, maybe u can help me get some of these sounds then....mainly a few percussion.

Here are some examples below that I'm talking about

(Listen 2 the intro "the belltree & windchime") all 3000 users from da 90's use that. I don't have those in my arsenal.

(Listen 2 this into too "The water drop" as the snare

First off your looking for a chime tree sample.

Theres only 1 chime tree sample out of all four disks, and it goes Low to High. The sample your playing goes high to low, and its slightly different. I think its from a different kit - not with the stock MPC3000 disks. The chime tree sample your after sounds like a sample included with the Roland SPD-20. But if not that exact one theres probably infinite versions of a chime tree on the net for you to search through.

There is no water drop in any of the kits. But again a very generic sample you could find easily on its own.

It seems to be only 101 sound files, in total, on the 4 disks.
