I purchased a new Renaissance and think I did everything right as far as loading the software and updating the software.

I get sound out of my computer but not out of the Renaissance. I have checked the preferences and checked the MPC Renaissance as the input and output.

I get no sound.

Please help.

Precision is for wussies, right? :-D

What's your platform, operating system, sound card / audio interface, driver, cable setup etc.?

Thanks for responding. I am using a MacBook Pro hooked to the Renaissance via USB. I was running right out of the Renaissance to my powered Mackie monitors. I wanted to try this first before I sent the outs to my Presonus 16.0.2 Studio Live mixer.

Anything you can do to help me would be appreciated. Is there anyway the sound board in the Renaissance could be bad? I see the signal on the Renaissance when I hit a pad but no sound. Do I have to setup a new program before I assign samples?

Thanks again.

make sure your monitor knob inbetween input gain and volume knob is all the way to right. if its to the left its only sending the input to the output. its a basic mix knob for real time monitoring.

Also make sure that your master volume in the software is turned all the way to the right / up; but beware, this hasn't to do anything with the MAIN VOLUME on the hardware. If you're using headphones, play around with the small knob MIX ASSIGN next to the headphone plug (this gradually blends between output 1/2 and 3/4).
