I would like an option to be able to set the Multi-level function to map itself to an external midi trigger.

So that pressing Multi-level and selecting a sound pad would not map it across the 16 pads in the bank,
but map that pad chromatically up and down a 64 key midi keyboard for instance.

While leaving the other 15 pads in the bank still accessible to trigger from the face of the 1000.

The Maschine has this function for a good reason.
It would save a buttload of workflow from having to manually create, assign and save/load a dedicated chromatic program.

Another function from the maschine that I would love is an ability to assign the MPC swing to 1 pad at a time.

I never use the MPC swing because I dont like the way it sounds applied the whole song as a single mix.

That was one of the big reasons that tempted me to bail from hardware towards the maschine.

Before I realized that the tradeoff wasn't worth it and that making music on a computer makes me want to vomit.

I don't know if you're familiar with INST pgm. That would allow you to do this in just a few clicks. http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2xl/gpe_inst_sample.htm

* switch to non-overlap mode
* BANK A PAD1 would be note 36 (C1) and it goes all to way to BANK D PAD16 note 99 (D6#)

It already does that. You can change swing settings betwenn recording of PAD1 and recording of PAD2 , for example.
Or you're able to fix the swing of individual pads afterwards by pressing FIX in the timing correct window and then choose the PAD you want it to be applied on...
