Hay I got the Impc and love it....
Now I want to take my sampling to the next level and buy a real mpc,
But don't know witch one to get I have been seeing very bad things about the
Renaissance, but I really love the idea of it being a DWA,
Will it be safe to spent €900 on one?

I do not like wasting money?

I would love feed back from MPC Renaissance users,
Thanks....

yes with the new 1.3 update most of the major issues where fixed. there are other users who work differantly and are not yet satisfied with the updates. but yes i finish whole track with a ruff mix before bouncing stems to logic.

3000, 2000, 2000xl,1000, Ren and Studio. never wanted a 5000 cause it never had much good news or reviews. I was about to get a 4000 when they announced the ren's arrival last year. this has spanned 12 years....

Why choose between the Ren and the 5000? If it has to be an MPC, many people would push you towards a 1000 or a 2500 running JJOSXL, or even the large screen XLCD modified versions.

The Ren IMO still has some way to go before I'd consider it a finished product, it may not crash much anymore, but there's plenty of workflow issues that need addressing.

The 5000 is another unfinished MPC, full of bugs and yet more workflow issues.

The 2500 or 1000, even with Akai OS represent much slicker workflow, but if you want to 'take sampling to the next level', only JJOSXL or JJOS128XL on a 1000/2500 have the power and features to do that, unless you grab yourself a s/h MPC4000.

So your happy with the ren...
Thats all i wanted to hear it got some bad reviews,
some guy on you tube slated it...
saying it kept on freezing up and crashing...

and it was. there was some bad issues most are solved. the newest update 1.3 calmed allot of people down. the forum has been allot more mellow around here since 1.3. you should read threw the stickies about differant bug reports threw the updates. you should be looking for problems individuals had with computers with similar specks as your own.
