someone please send me the OS from their original disk.

hi. ive just sold my renaissance but with no disk as ive lost it.

he is saying he cant install the software without the original install disk.

can someone please do me a favour and send me a link to download their original install disk?

No can do. The hardware syncs with the software... the software that came with the unit that is. Thats why you can't go to a friend's house with your controller and hook up with his software.

Admit it, you stoled that controller!!

huh?

no i sold it to someone but with no disk cos i lost mine...

so what can i do? he is left with an MPC he can never use?

are you saying each disk is hard linked to an MPC?

That's not true...I can hook my studio in my ren authorized computer and use it... Only give me a warning when the software starts saying that is not thencontroller I authorized the sw with...that's all...

I think you can install the update and use the software without the content and plugins of course!

you cant download it from there. you can only download updates.

The software updates seem to contain the full software install. (V1.3 is 73MB )

Not sure if it's just an update or regular install, but it doesn't contain the samples.

the updates are the full software but there's a check to see if you actually have the software installed first

what's funny to me. wouldn't you just call akai support first because they can just send you a link to the software or your buddy. because you could be telling the truth about you didn't steal it or not. so if you didn't steal it just call akai they will be more than happy to give you a link to the software.
