stereo to mono

hello,

i am new to the mpc. the sampler "eats" only 16bits/44.1khz. most of my samples are in a different format. is there a freeware program that change my samples in 16bits/44.1khz and mono? best would be load all samples and convert all to the format. i have the basic 16 mb in the mpc.

i tryed itunes. swapping samples this night. next try is audacity.

a free converter called Max is kinda not-straightforward to use, but once you learn to use it, it'll do any and all audio conversions you'd ever need.

If you got only 16mb, I can also add that samples need to be 16bits, they does not have to be 44.1 sample rate. If you got samples in various sample rates, leave them like that - this will make more room for you.
