greets

I have a buncha drum tracks in midi format. I can import them into JJOS no problem, as a sequence. But if I import these midi files into Presonus Studio One v.2 (to edit them) and then export them as midi files they don't work anymore, i.e. when I try opening them with the MPC it just creates an empty sequence, albeit exactly the amount of bars as the midi file, but no notes.

Any ideas?

Ok... I don't normally bother to explain this much (as the info's all over the net, manuals, docs, youtube and what have you), but here goes.

Just follow these points:

* Just select the desired midi clips from the Arrange view.
* Right-click (ctrl+click) over any of your selected clips and choose 'Export' and 'Export as MIDI file...' (alt+cmd+E is the hotkey).
* Save it to desktop or wherever
* Mount your mpc CF or HD
* Drag & Drop the midi files
* Unmount your mpc
* Choose LOAD mode in mpc and load your midi.
* Choose the sequence where you want to import that. It doesn't really matter where you'll import it as you can Copy&Paste stuff later between sequences. Just choose an empty sequence.
* Hit [MAIN] and see that they're there.

Multiple midi clips in logic selected and exported get populated sequentially (ie. 1st clip = track1, 2nd clip = track2 etc.).

If you can't find your midi clip from track1 it might've got imported based on its MIDI CHANNEL info. So you might not find your single midi clip on track1 if it had MIDI Channel 8 for example but from track8. Can't remember when such happened and why, but it has so I'm mentioning it here just the same.
