How to sample vinyl into mpc studio

Im new on here does anybody know the best way to sample vinyl into Mpc Studio? I heard external interface if so what kind do you guys recommend?

Record it onto CD and toss it in the laptop. Its best that way because you can eq it hot and heavy the way you like and you just rip it.

It does not. It's a Studio, lacking that awesome $200 Chinese quality interface...(I should chill )

Ill Green is probably right just find a preamp and a screw to attach the ground to, DJ mixer, stereo receiver or something and just get the signal into the computer however.

Personally I don't see the allure of sampling directly to Maschine or Kontakt or Studio/Ren software as I gain nothing on recording direct to it like I might on hardware. I mean if you're already running the app sure, but to recreate the hardware workflow when you could just load the WAV and it will sound identical...seems a waste of time to fire up the software's sampling modes. (but I sample and edit samples in bulk I admit).

First you should check, whether your record player has line or phono level; if phono, you'll need an interface with a dedicated phono input, if line, a regular stereo input suffices (provided you have some adaptors and cables to do so). Also, there are record players with integrated USB interfaces available (for about 30 Euros, maybe 45 Dollars); until recently I used one of those plus Audacity to record vinyl to my computer, although this option lacks the ability to manually gain the volume.

Either way, you'll need sort of an interface to convert analogue signals into a digital one.
