A few of the BM2 pads that don't respond to the Fly pads respond to Fly Note Repeat and Erase buttons.

Ok, I think I have this thing figured out. The few pads that don't respond correctly have to be individually mapped in MidiBridge in the Note Number Mapping section just above Note Transpose. Map them according to the iMPC layout listed here:

For example, the 2nd pad wasn't responding correctly in BM2 so I changed the incoming C1(36) to outgoing D1(38) based upon the iMPC chart and it triggered the correct pad in BM2!

This chart helps with changinging the note mappings: https://images.weserv.nl/?url=img35.imageshack.us/img35/600/numbersp.jpg

AW CRAP I DON'T GET IT. UNDER NOTE TRANSPOSE, I HAVE FOUND THAT SOME PADS DO WORK WHEN IT'S CHANGED TO -37. IT'S THE NOTE NUMBER MAPPING INCOMING AND OUTGOING THAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND....

WHEN IN MIDIBRIDGE, HOW DO I SELECT A SPECIFIC PAD WITHIN BEATMAKER THAT I AM WANTING TO CHANGE? IN OTHER WORDS, CAN YOU GIVE ME A BASIC STEP-BY-STEP OF HOW TO CHANGE INCOMING AND OUTGOING OF EACH INDIVIDUAL PAD? I'M JUST NOT DOING SOMETHING CORRECTLY.

ALSO, HAVE YOU FOUND THAT YOU'RE ABLE TO ASSIGN PADS IN MORE THAN ONE PAD BANK AS WELL? I REALLY REALLY HOPE THAT'S POSSIBLE. THANKS!

OK. I'VE ASSIGNED EVERY PAD EXCEPT PAD NUMBER 4 (FAR RIGHT) OF THE PAD BANK. PAD NUMBER 4 SEEMS TO NOT WORK WITH ANY OF THE ASSIGNED NUMBERS? I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. ALSO, LATENCY SEEMS LIKE A PRETTY BIG ISSUE HERE, AS THE PAD RESPONSE FOR ALL IS NOT SUPER QUICK. I ALSO DON'T REALLY KNOW HOW TO APPROACH THE MULTIPLE PAD BANKS ISSUE...

SO, HOW CAN I ASSIGN PAD 4?

HOW CAN WE FIX THE LATENCY (IT'S UP ALL THE WAY IN BM2 SO IT'S NOT AN ISSUE WITH THAT)?

HOW CAN WE DO MULTIPLE PAD BANKS?

THANKS!

Do you have the Audio latency set to Low (256 frames) in the iPad Settings/Beatmaker 2/Latency ?

The MIDI latency -/+ setting in the BM2's MIDI preferences may be needed piping your MIDI through MIDI Bridge, but generally I wouldn't think you need to set that over 30ms in most situations. If you put it all the way up at 300ms you might be overcompensating or making it worse.

But for overall latency/response the Audio one in the iPad's setting is probably more the issue.

Yes that's how it works. So try the lowest audio setting in the Apps preferences in your iPads settings. You may have to still adjust the MIDI latency to compensate for using MIDI Bridge as an extra routing of the MIDI data. I would try that in small increments. Maybe a ms at a time until it feels right.

As you know I'm just taking guess having BM2 and general MIDI knowledge, I don't have the Fly or MIDI Bridge. Great to see you guys making a lot of progress, and thanks for posting it up here. Looks like MIDI Bridge is going to a must to really use the Fly at it's best with a variety of apps.
