The pre roll doesn't correspond or work as a plugin in Logic. As soon as I hit record and Logic's pre roll goes for 2 bars the Ren has already started recording. This is a major problem for me and it needs to be fixed. Any suggestions? I'm not a fan of recording my drums in the Ren and then finish making my beat in Logic. I would rather make everything in Logic at once.

I've just checked Pro Tools and it works fine. I am firing up Logic now to take a look.

I just checked Logic Pro 9.1.8 and it works perfectly. When I set Logic's Count In in the Project Settings/Recording then press Record in Logic, the Ren will not start playing until after Logic starts.

However, I am not Logic expert so I don't know how to turn on Count In for just playing back a sequence.

So are you saying the Ren doesn't start recording until Logic plays? Maybe it's like that for me since I set up the transport controls but I doubt it. I don't know what to do. As the pre roll is going in logic the Ren has already started recording.

Are you sure Logic has Count In function for Playback? If so, how?

I can enable Logic's Count In for recording. When I set the Ren to record and then start recording in Logic, the Ren doesn't start recording until after Count In.

I am not using the Ren's transport function while looking into your issue.

I was having the same issue. If you go to settings>synchronization>midi>midi clock> check the destination box in Logic and make sure it is transmitting to the Ren that should do it.

I figured it out. For some reason the Transport controls really only control the Ren. If you press rec on the Ren the Ren starts recording immediately with no pre roll but if you press record in your DAW the pre roll responds to you DAW 1st. I should be good now.

You can set your Transport to control your DAW as well. There are options in Preferences menu.

Perhaps you are doing something wrong like the other gentleman. It works in Pro Tools and Logic. I will try it out in Cubase and report back my findings....

I hit overdub and play on MPC Ren transport when using it as Plugin in Pro Tools

there is no count off in pro tools/mpc plugin it starts recording straight away.

Any ideas how to fix, count off is enabled in pro tools and works if i press record and play in PT
