Apologies for the super basic question but I'm having a little trouble figuring out the different types of saving functions available and I can't seem to get this right.

If I've had a session on my MPC and I've been chopping samples and messing with FX and building a program with three tracks so basically when I push play I hear my two bar loop with three different tracks runnung, how do I save it so that the next time I fire up my MPC and load the file everything will be as I left it?

At the moment I've been saving stuff and when I load what I think should be the program it just loads the sequence with no samples assigned to the pads or it loads the sequence with the first track fully loaded but track 2 and 3 have no samples or programs loaded on them.
Any help appreciated.
Btw, I'm running an MPC1000 with JJOSXL (which I only got a couple of days ago but I'm loving it).

First,

MAKE A NEW FOLDER DEDICATED TO THAT PROJECT.
That's most important. Otherwise, everything will get screwed up.

Next, in that folder, save ENTIRE MEMORY (last or second to last option in save window, I think).

That will save everything. Then you just need to load the .PRJ file, and it will have everything as you left it.

Edit: just noticed you saying that you had jjos2xl. In that case, use the ENTIRE MEMORY-2 option. Good move on getting the 2xl OS. such a huge step up from the other options.

Also, since you're using JJOS, post related threads in the dedicated JJOS forum where I've now moved this to.
