Well, it is OK, but I'd prefer the original casing. Oh, I remember Ghost MPC's blacked out MPC-2000XL custom version was amazing! and the black MPC-4000 shown above!

Correct.

The actual buttons are the same, but on the 60 there are no gaps between the buttons whereas on the 3000 (same as the Ren) and later MPC's, there are gaps.

yeah you guys are right.. which do you prefer clint seeing both types in person?


Also, doesn't the chrome 2000xl get finger printed up? I remember seeing a chromed custom 1000 which looked cool, but I believe there was also a photo of it looking quite terrible due to finger grease.

I don't mind which kind of buttons there are to be honest. And yes, the chrome does get fingerprinted up, if your hands are sweaty. Only takes a wipe to sort it, and most people wipe their machines anyway.

I also really love how the XL looks when the buttons turn yellow.


Is it possible to put a 2k jog wheel on the XL?

I've always been fond of the 2000xl with the purple pad outline.

I don't think it is possible. I've owned 2000 classic, and I know how the jog wheel looks like.

3000 LE!!!!! Hands down for me. I will never part with this machine.....I don't use it much, but just the feel and looks of it inspire me to work on it!!

am i the only one that thinks AKAI completely RUINED the mpc3000LE with those ridiculous music notes on it?? they got the black color right, but they just HAD to do something wrong along the way... my vote goes to the original white 3000.

It's all good!!! I thought so too until I saw mine in person. I dunno, in person the grey metal flake paint made me overlook the cheeseball music notes.....but I agree!!!! Would have been better to leave them off, but I don't have a problem with them being on there.

I also think it's a bit too cheesy. When I first saw it on some small pictures, I thought it's some kind of tribal pattern. But when I saw that it's notes, I thought it's really a bit too cheesy but in general I like the overall looks, especially the case color. It looks so solid and tough. But I still prefer the 2000

Yep, Ghostin has it covered with that MPC4000, most definitely the sexiest MPC I've ever seen. Keep your eyes peeled as you may be seeing a lot more of Ghostin in the coming year

i prefer the mpc 60 1 as most beautiful, and i agree about the 3000LE, don't like them notes / lines also..

the original 3000 is also eye catching as well... 1. mpc60 1 2. original 3000.
