hawedere to all. I need some help again with a jjos feature, the packed samples/program thing. i read the manual and did a try but it is not that what i´ve expected. i thought that the advantage was to save all programs and used samples into one main program,so that i´ve all in one and just one file to load as a complete project. i made 3 different test programs with different samples, midi cc, ect. and packed it with the pack all programs menu. it just packed program 2 and 3 where i used samples but not program 1 where i used midi note out and midi cc. then in the save menu it shows 3 different programs and not one how i expected. So did i something wrong or is this packed thing just to load the samples with it what i can do also with a normal program???

well, there's your problem. that's not what it does

Packed programs jus saves a program WITH all its assigned samples into one file. The advantage is so that it loads up a lot faster and saves RAM space

yes, that was a disaccord from me. thank you for that information! that what i thought it was did i found in the ,,save all program menü,,until now i´ve just use one program per sequence and now i want to change that. i try to optimize my workflow with the MPC and with the much new features from JJOS it´s quite alot of work to do that:-)
but i´m very happy with it. so much better than the original akai os! Thank you

Suggest reading from the akai os manual the chapter: "Terminologies in MPC". Explains Sequences, Tracks, Songs, Programs etc. clearly.

Also your best friend is "save entire memory". Do so in a new folder so similarly named samples, sequences and/or project files wont overwrite each other unintentionally.

Terminologies in MPC, hmmm so in my manual i didn´t found it.is this in the OS2XL manual? i´m using JJOS128XL,maybe there are differents, but i read alot my manual to learn how i can handle this monster:-) the ,,save entire memory,, was alittle daunting to me because the information before loading that all seq.pgr, samples, ... would be removed. What would happen when i want to load 2 or more of this ,,entire memory,, folders if i want to play a liveact? would the second loaded folder remove the first and so on? Now i save all seq. and save all programs(with samples in it) and until now it works fine.

1 project at a time, you cannot work on two projects in memory simultaneously. Work on one, save it, then load the PRJ for your next one.
