i would like to know what do you think about the renaissance's sound compared to the others mpc..In my opinion it has a more clean sound but it has lost some of the mpc feel becoming more ''digital'' What do you think?... imagination? Anyway it's the future

It's an audio interface built in 2012, what did you expect 80's/ 90's quality convertors? Thats why vintage mode is there, to emulate the sound of machines that actually affected the audio in a desirable way. Compare an audio interface with another audio interface if it's quality you want to assess.

yer right, i do remember something about a very invalid, agenda-driven 'test' being put up early on, yes.
i'd be interested in an actual comparison of the sounds though.

maybe im not that interested tho, thinking back on it

The only MPC with 80's converters is the 60, the 3000 and 2000 have converters from the 90's but due to advances in technology between 93/4 and 96/7 they sound nothing alike. Analogy MPC60 vs MPC3000 vs MPC2000: One is comfy and warm like your living room and the other is more cold and sterile like a hospital ward. The MPC60 is like your homies bedroom, cool but a bit on the dirty side.
