sampling drums

i am sampling drums from my triton, and the sounds sound all right in the triton, but when i sample them into the mp, they sound terrible, and there is a lot of air mixed in with the sound, is there a right way to sampling drums that i just don't know, and it's only the kick that sounds bad, all the rest of the sounds i sample sound good, any help would be greatly appreciated..... thanx

You may wanna try to reduce the volume of the Triton a bit.

You may wanna try a better quality audio cable.
(But that usually isn't that much of a problem.)

You may have to do some compression and other tricks to those kick sounds to salvage them.

turn the triton all the way up.

turn the rec gain on the mpc almost all the way up,
say for example the rec gain had volume notches, turn it to
where the 7 would be.

You may also want to sample your drums on Mono.....

thanks, but now i think it only happens when i am in sampling mode, after i play the samples i don't hear all that air anymore, but when i play them on the sampling page there is a lot of air, i guess it corrected itself......thanks for the help though

why dont you just midi from the triton?
