MPC 1000, MPK25, Logic. multi-timbral midi sequencing in a l

I am looking to accomplish one particular task. I have scoured the internet for a couple hours looking for an explanation of how to accomplish it. Here is what I'd like to do.

I am a solo electronic musician that writes synthpop and sings etc... I'm trying to work out a live setup with the equipment I have right now. So I have an MPc1000, mpk 25, logic on my macbook with a billion great softsynths, and a microkorg. Also have my vocals run through a tc helicone but that's irrelevant. I want to be able to have logic open, with let's say 16 software instruments open (1 for each midi channel, assuming I have the processing power). Let's say I'm performing a song with 3 synth sounds in it. The drums are playing from samples loaded on the MPC, and I would like 3 other MPC tracks to carry the midi data to each individual softsynth in logic and have them play back with the sequence, including when I press 'next sequence.' But here's another part, is that I would also like to be able to record midi data into the MPC from the MPK, while still hearing the softsynth play back (basically want to treat MPK + Logic/computer as a synthesizer keyboard that I can record/loop on the fly, recording the midi to MPC not to logic and having the midi trigger the synths. Also I'd like to at least perform part of the songs live). The idea being that when I switch to another program and sequence in the mpc, it will change the assigned midi channels and midi data and effectively change all sounds and midi smoothly to the next song, and since the synths are already loaded up in logic it's a seamless transition. Is this possible or am I having a pipe-dream?

Also, if you can help out, I need like a step by step tutorial and I'll be forever grateful.

The setup you are describing shouldn't encounter any problems.
IMO it's minimalist and well thought.

If I'm correct :
The mac is running logic as a vst host only and must behave like some kind of virtual synths rack.
The mpc is running sequences and drums.

Since you didn't mention it I assume you have a decent audio interface with midi in/out.
Mac + logic + mpk25 + audio/midi interface will behave like any stack of hardware multitimbral synthesizers. The MPC will happily transmit midi data to your setup while you're playing live on a softsynth.

Run a logic session and assign one softsynth per midi channel. Since the mpc 1000 has 2 midi out you have 2x16 available midi channels, which means up to 32 softsynths at once. That should be more than enough.

I have no particular knowledge of logic but you should be able to set the USB midi input of the mpk to any selected synth plugin and transmit the midi data to the mpc at the same time for midi recording.

Each mpc track will run a single midi channel, therefore one particular softsynth.
You can manually set some program changes in each track to switch presets but you won't be able to switch a plugin for a new one without opening a new (pointless) logic session.
At this point you should think about getting organised and create a template logic session with every instruments you need for you entire gig. Assign each instrument its own midi channel. On the mpc side, open a project and create a midi track for each plugin and assign them the corresponding midi channel.

I hope you are on the right track and I'm not confusing you with my explanations. If you're going to make some serious sequencing on the mpc, I will definitely recommend JJOS 2. It's far more superior than the regular akai OS in every aspects. If you have more question feel free to ask.
