I dropped my Ren :WTF:

Ok so i dropped my renaissance off my bed and onto the floor
How worried should i be if i **** anything up inside the machine?.. it seems to be working fine but i don't wanna take a chance later on giving me issues... its still under the 30 day return policy and considering in getting it replaced while i still can.... Since it is a controller and more CPU based , is what really has me concerned.. any suggestions?

after seeing the mpcstuff video for installing fat pads on the ren... where it showed the inside.... it looks like the internals are mostly large panels, not much small things and nothing loose floating around inside to be shaken off.. you should be okay. Do you see any denting or any bashed in areas? cause it was only a bed, not a balcony.. my guess is the way it's built with the 10 thousand screws holding only a few pieces together and ridges of plastic support everywhere inside.... you are probably okay. check the vid yourself (ren section: thread titled "fat pads").

I'm with mr_debauch on this one. I'd imagine the LCD is the most likely thing to take damage or have a connection knocked loose. The interior is not that different from an MPD and those easily will survive a fall from the height of an average bed. (I've certainly dropped or had mine roll off a bed when moving stuff around) Obviously the Ren weighs more and would hit the floor harder, but it's also metal on the outside.

I bet if everything still seems alright with all the buttons, knobs and pads, it likely is.
