Yep mixer implementation is underdeveloped.

I tend to apply all my effects omnisphere , massive or stylus etc to dodge the problem.

Then it's just levels
You r right though definetly needs a linking feature!

I have to admit I enjoyed playing with a maschine a week ago. I was was comparing it with a ren and as far as the controller goes, the ren wins for me. I played around with the ren, but at this point can't get past the cost and the reviews. I don't need another interface but some may and I get that. But even getting a studio, if the software is the issue, it doesn't matter what controller you have. I wish akai would make the software run with an mpd (I have the mpd32).

My opinion is this. For years, akai was a hardware company and a damn good one. To me it seems everyone has been crying out for another mpc3000 and we haven't got it. We've been presented other products which overtime made their way into our hearts. Now the company wants to get into software and have started out WAY behind. I would buy a ren in a heartbeat because I want to like it. But something has to give.

I wish more companies would re-release their classic products, with the components matched as close to the originals as possible. Korg are doing it with the MS-20. It'd be cool to see some digital classics released again. :smoker:

Exactly. There is a reason why we still he the mustang, corvette and the camaro was re-released. I was expecting something different when it was named renaissance. The name meaning rebirth or a cultural movement. What was rebirth? Is it at this point trendsetting or revolutionary? Mpc used to be the face of hip hop. This was supposed to change the game. I think alot of this has to do with the producers of today. Most wouldn't even notice the limitations. I am pulling for the ren. But I think also would be wise to do like protools did and make something for the masses but also develop a top of the line producers tool. Id pay 3kit for it. Make it stand alone and software based.
