I was wondering if this is possible? Let's say I have a sequence in the MPC2500 (with jjosxl) with 2 tracks...now I'd like track 1 to trigger channel 1 (drums) in FL Studio and track 2 to trigger channel 2 (percussion)...is this possible? I tryied to set this up for hours but nothing...

Thansk and sorry for the grammatical errors if any...

Yeah its possible, just use MIDI! its easy but you got to have the MIDI plugged in first. MIDI out of MPC to MIDI in of your computers MIDI interface. Then set recieve channle in software to match MPC output of each track as MIDI track. Done.
Its the same in Akai OS and nearly every other bit of gear ever made with MIDI.

Well what I linked to is just showing how to have the different channels respond to MIDI channel 1A, 2A and so on. (Steps 4,5 the right click the green lights in FL next to the channel name)

But that is just receiving MIDI note trigger info. The MPC and FL could also be properly synced over MIDI which might be a better option if you plan to record the MPC's MIDI into FL channels. (MPC could control FL Play/Rec/Stop and the both have the MIDI timing locked together)

I never use MPC's with FL myself, but I have both here. I'll post more if I get a chance today to use them together, or link another walk through if I see one.

What OS do you have koncrete? I have JJOSXL so I can change the MIDI channel a program is sending right in the lower corner of my screen.

I'm sure you just need to toggle a setting but if I know what OS you have I can tell you where to look.

I have JJOSXL too...I know where to change it, an I know how to change it but in FL it stays on the same channel, now this is what I don't understand...

Lke in the tutorial I linked to, I loaded two FL channels. Once I right clicked on each channel's green light icon right next to the steps/piano roll, the first channel respond to MIDI 1A and the second channel MIDI 2A. If I added a third channel and right clicked the green light icon that one would be receiving on MIDI 3A.

I just turn the data wheel to change MIDI 1A,2A... on the MPC LCD.

Then you'll need to give more information. Audio/MIDI interface, MIDI cables...what is plugged where? FL MIDI preferences...is the MIDI interface the MPC is connected to active...?

As I said I got it to work using that tutorial, with MY 2500 MIDI out to my interface's MIDI in, and my interface's MIDI out to the 2500's MIDI in. I didn't properly sync FL and the 2500 over MIDI, but I would do that if I wanted to use them together seriously so that the FL/MPC MIDI is locked perfectly.

But you have to make sure the MPC is even sending MIDI at all to FL before you go set that up.
