Carpal Tunnel from banging on pads?

Anybody developing carpal tunnel from finger drumming? I've been practicing a lot lately and sometimes I zone out for a while without regard to my hands. My hands now have symptoms of carpal tunnel. My day job probably doesn't help out either(using hammers n shit). Just want to put out awareness about the subject. Probably wanna think about busting some wrist exercises before you guys bang out.

A bit yeah. And before that it was turntables, spinning pizzas, wielding a wood pizza paddle like a champion, rocking fryer baskets, skillet on blunts, rolling rice papers and cigs, punching people, and a lot of using my hands as a waiter or repetitive stuff I had to do at retail jobs.

I'm 40 and my hands hurt daily.

Yeah I get it sometimes from scratching. My right hand that is my fader hand starts to tingle and get numb. I can feel when it's coming on so I just stop and rest for a while. Both my wrists click badly as well, really think all this scratching will give me arthritis one day.

I hear you man. I forgot to mention that I've been cutting a lot, especially since I made a makeshift QFO. Never had pain from skraching though, maybe fatigue. I'm sure it all adds up. Damn, I gotta take it easy.

Tutor's finger drumming kit has probably shortened my fingers by a few millimetres. No carpel tunnel though.

I get tennis elbow from the shitty menial job I do though.

Yeah I've never had a problem until the last couple of years, I'm guessing the them years of abusing the fader has taken it toll on my wrist. The funny thing is my record hand doesn't suffer with carpal tunnel, just clicks a lot when i do one handed lazers or phazers. It's even worse when I do scribbles tho

That's a cool makeshift QFO mod mate, I have the LE DX version of the QFO which was limited to 250 units worldwide, same as the LE version but it has the function to connect it up to serato etc. Really enjoyed the cuts too, very dope

Damn, thats dope man! I just hope any QFO would be mine someday. Have you messed with a Scratchophone? I've never even seen one live.

Yeah I only just missed out on the original QFO, ordered it from hard to find records based in Birmingham, UK when the price dropped down to a crazy £399. Ordered it online and got a phone call about 5 minutes later from them to tale me they had all gone and I had just missed the last one by a few minutes or so, I was gutted.

Missed out on the QFO LE version when that went down to £399 as well, went on holiday only to come back and find out that they had been and gone.

But I did managed to get one 3rd time lucky, the LE DX version for £399, so I'm chuffed that I got one in the end. Had it since the beginning of 2008 and I've had nothing but fun

The price is only going to keep going up on them as they are very sort after, most of them go for around the 800 plus price here in the uk on ebay. Just have to keep an eye out for one but your end up paying a premium for it tho.

No I haven't don't know anybody near where I live that has one. I've only seen videos on YouTube, looks really cool and I would like one but is way out of my price range. Just a standard Scratchophone with no added extras is over £1,900 to the UK without shipping and custom tax as well. Oh well I can always dream

yo,wtf is that qfo mod? didyou make your pt-01 direct drive? or is that thing just an external crossfader?
