My question is I am connecting my 2000XL midi in to Midi Out1 Digidesign and my 1000 Midi in also to midi out2 to the Digidesign. I can only have my 1000 sync with it and my 2000xl will not sync midi.

I have to change out the midi chords from the 1000 to the XL in order for it to sync together.

Does any one have this problem? I am trying to have both mpc sync to digidesign to rec.

Posting your actual software sync settings in pro tools and for each MPC would help with troubleshooting.

I don't think that Pro Tools can output MIDI Time Code to multiple MIDI ports.

Maybe there is some sort of MIDI utility software that you can send the MTC to from Pro Tools, which would then output it to multiple MIDI ports.

Otherwise an option might be to send MTC from Pro Tools into one MPC, then connect the MIDI output of that MPC to the MIDI input of the second MPC...if the MPC MIDI Soft Through function sends the incoming MTC to the MIDI output, or if you can turn MTC output on at the same time as MTC input is turned on.

Or, some sort of MIDI splitter, that takes the single MTC output from Pro Tools, and splits it to the two MPCs.
