First of all the target is not to hear the full sample when the NOTE ON MONO pad is released during [Note Repeat] is hold. Like it was on a 3.10 version. It's difficult to realize musical ideas when actions are limited. While a FREE version doesn't have this limitation.
Bugfix wrote:what you need it to do?
I used to get the "sliced" by [note repeat] NOTE ON sample on [PAD 6], then got the same sample (but ONE SHOT) on [PAD 10], which set to be muted by [PAD 6]. But now this rhythmical freedom became impossible. Instead of pressing [PAD 10] I already hear this sample, because released [PAD 6] already makes it sound. And makes it RANDOMLY, i.e. I never foreknow, when it can happen.
I got a habbit to work with pairs of pads like 6/10, 7/11 etc, because of its comfort.
It's very unpleasant, when the pad couldn't be controlled. This feature would be GREAT only as an option, but very bad if it's uncontrollable and works differently for pads with equal parameters.
I identified the pad numbers, that reproduce this effect (the numbered ones):
- 14 15 16
9 - - -
- 6 7 8
1 - - -
Just updated to 3.19 - the problem still occurs.
If it's possible, try to follow this bug report:
(MPC 2500, JJ OS-XL 3.28, 3.29)
1. MPC is turned on.
2. Load a sample with a duration more than 2 seconds.
3. Assign this sample to all 16 pads.
4. Go to the AMP tab.
5. Set the "Play Mode" column to NOTE ON for all the samples.
6. Set the "R" column to 0 for all the samples.
6. Hold the Note Repeat button + PAD 1.
5. Sample plays in NOTE ON mode (with 1/16, for example), but when release the
pad, the full sample is playing. Like if it had an ONE SHOT mode.
IMPORTANT: it happens randomly, not always. For pads 1,6-9,14-16.
