MPC FLY WITH BEATMAKER 2?

A little messier but yeah probably. You could at least map half the banks in BM2 using the nano's software editor.

Cheers for the video, at the moment got a cck kit and hooked up a lpk25 to it, pretty dope to use at the moment. I also got a cheap usb audio connector and I can use that as an audio interface in beatmaker2!!

With the octave switches you can get all 128 BM2 pads and avoid all the issues the Fly has with MIDI mapping to BM2.

That's pretty dope. Anyone here have any thoughts of the Mpk mini with BM2. I was thinkin about making that purchase. Seems like a relatively cheap and portable way to have keys and pads for my ipad.

Not from direct experience but it would be the same as acronym's setup as far as the octave buttons being the key to play BM2 pads A1-H16 MIDI Notes 0-127. 2 banks so 16 pads is the most you can map. But seems a good solution for the price.

the only reason why I didn't grab the mpk mini is because there's reports that it draws too much power. The lpk25 works a treat, its not pads but I have something physical to hit upon.

With forelock tugging reference to dwarman and CoolID's posts here (thanks so much) we have produced a little guide on setting up MidiBridge to map the Fly's pads to BeatMaker 2. The guide has all the pads mapped individually, so do not use the transpose feature in the NoteMapper!

I guess I can only speak for myself but I've done that many times only to be given very political corporate answers from akai and retronyms. Akai is purposely holding back. And due to the fact that they left it very disabled leads me to believe that it won't gain ground on bm2 ever. Just my opinion. When I first got it I was a big advocat for it but now. I'm not holding my breath

Their "strategy" is really baffling.I can see them not being enthusiastic about having the Fly work with BM2,but the iMPC app. which works well with the Fly standalone is crippled within their own Tabletop environment.Retronyms says they are working to fix it,but what were they doing for the last 15 months since they announced the Fly and demoed the iMPC app?You would think that they would have had it all working by now.It seems as if the Akai/Retronyms partnership is shakey.They keep pointing the finger at each other and the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing:)
