Well you'd be better off shooting emails to Akai and Retronyms the guys who coded iMPC.
But yeah Android has finally begun to address the latency issue which is great. But overall they are like 3 or 4 years behind. Some iOS developers have said that if Android fixed the latency they would port some of their iOS apps. But it's going to take a while to catch up and it will likely probably always be less available music apps on that platform. In the 3 or 4 years most users who wanted mobile music apps just went iOS.
So it's going to be an uphill climb for Android for a while yet I think, but at least now you have some hope with the OS being technically capable.
