wassup all... so i'm still using JJOS1 with my mpc1000 and have no intention of upgrading past it [i have OS2XL in my mpc2500 and end up just using JJOS1 in that as well]... anyway, i've been encountering the following bug lately...

so i have my mpc and everything else connected routed to a mixer... i have the alternate outputs of my mixer hooked into my MPC's inputs so that i can just press the MUTE button on the mixer and record that channel into my MPC. basic setup shit most of us are accustomed to. now here's the issue...

obviously when i go to record an audio track, i can't also have the MPC channel on MUTE as well, or it will send it's own signal to the mpc's record in and create a loud feedback loop... now the problem comes as soon as i'm done recording an audio track in JJOS1... once i'm back in the MAIN screen, it's as if it leaves the AUDIO THRU turned on or something... because as soon as it's done recording and i turn the MPC's volume back on, i get terrible feedback from the MPC feeding back into itself... this shouldn't be happening because i'm no longer in record mode and AUDIO THRU is turned off. it goes away after a minute or so... but it's still highly annoying and will scare the crap out of you when caught off guard... it won't go away no matter how many times i press STOP or no matter what screen i switch to. it eventually just stops on it's own after about a minute. anyone else have this issue? has it been reported? should i report it? thanks for your time...

i think i solved the issue... what was happening was that in the RECORD SETUP screen the MONITOR setting was defaulting back to ON... i set MONITOR to OFF, went back to MAIN screen and then powered the MPC off while holding down the MAIN button [to save the settings]. the MONITOR OFF setting seems to have saved now. hopefully it'll stay that way. :smoker:

Do you guys find that when recording audio tracks the click is un-even???
I am using JJOS 3.13 on a MPC1000 and its completely hit or miss when adding a bass part,,,,...maybe I am locking into the groove .,..maybe Im not..the click is uneven at first then gets right after a few seconds.
I ALWAYS have to trim the audio track and see if I can piull it ahead or behind so it FINALLY gets into the groove.
any help appreciatted
