Once I chop a sample into, lets say 8 parts i want my MPC Ren to play the whole chop with out me having to hold down the pad. I know its possible to do this because Ive seen video of people doing it but i dont know what setting they're using to do this. Any help is appreciated.

In Sample Edit Trim and Chop Modes you must hold down a pad to audition/playback the Samples.

Once you converted chopped samples to a program, you can than choose how you want the pads to trigger the assigned sample.....Note On (hold down pad) or One Shot (sample plays to end once triggered). These settings are in Program Edit Mode.

Hold down the pad with your sample, then hold the SHIFT key until the sample has played from start to end, then let go of the pad then SHIFT and it should play as an endless loop. Samples must be set to LOOP ON.

Works like a charm on my MPC 500 XP
