I just got a 2500 le and hooked up my turntable to my mixer and monitor speakers to the MPC. When I play the pre-loaded stuff I can hear it through the speakers. When I play the turntable no sound is coming out of the speakers. I hooked the rca from the record player up to the phono section of my mixer. Then I hooked up the rca end to the main out of the mixer to the 1/4 inch (record in) on the mpc. I hooked it up just like the diagram shows in the manual. I went into record mode and the levels are moving on the screen but no sound. Is my problem with the mixer or the mpc? Am I forgetting something? Please respond if you have any suggestions. Thanks

Hard to say?

Is your turntable switched to line or phono? Make sure your input source is switched to analog and not digital on the mpc. Make sure the input on the mpc is switched on... Wouldn't know what else to tell you... Those are just some suggestions.

look at the right top corner of the record screen where it says "monitor" - turn that on.

now you can hear whatever is connected to the choosen record inputs when you are in record mode.
to hear your turntable in sequence mode (if you maybe want to scratch directly over your playing sequence) press the input thru button and select "input thru" on and "analog" as source.

have fun...
