iLok Installation

I'm constantly receiving "This installation package can not be opened, contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer" this is happening during the

ilokclienthelpersetup.exe

I'm running a Windows 7 compute for this copy, I've tried everything... Please help I really need to use my Pro Tools.

Did you try installing the latest iLok software from the iLok website?...

Not sure what your problem with it is, works fine on Windows 7 here.

First re-download the iLok .exe in case it was corrupt. Right click on the .exe and choose "Run As Administrator". Maybe also temporarily disable User Account Control. Not sure what the issue is, but those things can't hurt.

I usually don't have a problem with the iLok .exe unless an app has an older version of iLok and insists on going through the install. (Most let you skip it, but the ones that don't result in some install "strange loops").

Other than that the only problem I have on Windows with iLok is the website hasn't worked on Mozilla in years, and I believe the latest Internet Explorer versions have issues with it too. I used Google Chrome last time.
