Please sort out SoundToys plugins integration!!

Hi there.

Akai, please please sort out proper support for SoundToys plugins! They are my go-to effects. I'm using AUs and not only are the plugin states not saved when saving projects but also the parameters are not automapped.

Can you post detailed information about the plugins (name, version, type, etc) and specific problems you are having?

Also, do you have any issues with the VST versions?

hi jah,

i did some testing and it seems that the soundtoys plugins work fine as long as i use the VST. the AUs never save correctly or automap.

i'm using mac osx 10.6.7.
latest version of soundtoys native bundle 4.1.8.

this also applies to many other plugins (e.g. softube & eventide). the VSTs are fine but not the AUs.

this area obviously needs some work.

I downloaded the demo of the plugins you are having issues with and confirm that it is an issue with the AU plugins.

Several forum members previously reported similar issues with some AU FXs but not all; this has been reported to Akai. VST instruments/FXs should be used until this has been sorted out.

Do these plugins have fully functional demo's? If so do you have the links as I am unfamilar with those plugins.

I am currently on a Mac but will try to get my PC up and running. Can you give me a detailed description of the problems you are having with each plugin? Please include detailed information about your set-up (Ren/Studio, PC specs/OS version, Sound card, Plugin versions, etc) in one post. I will take a look and/or forward to the developers.

This is what is does for all the listed IKmultimedia stuff.


By the way Jah there are demos but you have to sign up for the IKmultimedia site.

What are you talking about?
The issue in the video with the plugin had nothing to do with the Ren.

Sampletank? I bought it just to test it. Forgot I even owned that plug...

See ?! You do have it? I thought you were just holding info (my bad). Can you try it on windows with the Ren so you can see what I'm talking about.?

I wasn't intentionally holding info. I just didn't use that plugin as it has issues even when using it standalone so it wasn't a good candidate to use with testing the Ren when there are better alternatives.

I am willing to look into almost anything if the information I asked for is provided....

I got that part. But to submit a proper bug report to Akai, I need the information I asked for. I am trying to help but I don't have time to play 21 Questions. Please add all the information I asked for in a single post.
