It is as simple as Simon says, if you just want to use the MPC pads to send out MIDI notes to control a single Logic software instrument on a single Logic track at once, like you would when composing in Logic using a master MIDI keyboard.
Things get more complicated when you want to use Logic as a multi-timbral sound source, with different software instruments responding to different MIDI channels from the MPC sequencer, in which case I think you might need to go into the Logic environment, disconnect the summed MIDI input to Logic, and patch the individual MIDI input channels to different Logic tracks/instruments.
Then you might also want to synchronise the MPC and Logic sequencers, which will require some other settings to be made.

The OP doesn't really go into much detail about what the requirements are, besides using the MPC pads to send MIDI note on/off messages into Logic.
Other considerations might be the MIDI note number layout of the MPC pads, and whether they might want to reassign the note numbers into a chromatic layout, if using the pads to play a Logic synthesizer or non-drum sampled instrument for example, or possibly setting up a Logic drum module/sampler so that drum sounds are laid out the way they are required on the MPC pads.
