64bit!!!! YIPEEEE! now I can set Logic back to 64bit and all my other software plugins.

The Ren 1.4 is 64 bit and Pro Tools 11 is 64 bit. Good day.

There is no alternative...no product like the Ren...period. The MPC Studio? Perhaps but when you try 1.4.....same applies. No viable alternative IMO.

^ At this point I would say that you are correct Jah, other products are similiar in concept, but do not give the same outcome as Ren/Studio.

Not to start another vs debate....
But I always liked the concept. I wanted a hybrid product years before NI released their product. While the overall software is solid, they missed the mark with the hardware design. They also reinvented the wheel with the way the sequencer is implemented...and limited its MIDI capabilities.
Now if NI up the ante with Maschine 2.0 with a new controller...I will certainly take notice.
