OK so I've seen this touched on but never really solved.

So, I recently got a 2KXL and it came with a bunch of Zips. 6 had sounds and 1 I used to practice and get used to the XL again. So, with that said, I wanted to be able to backup my projects and those drums so I can continue using them when I get my card reader. Now, where my problem came in was when I was going through the disks to see which ones had sounds and which ones didn't. Me being me, I like things to be fresh and clear of "leftovers"... I formatted all the empty ones except one that was brand new and never used. Still had the PC/Mac folders on it and something in the back of my head said..."NO! Leave it alone!" so I moved on. Zip drive for my computer came...yadda yadda...crap...it tells me I need to format the zip, but then tells me it can't format it... DAMNIT!

So I searched and searched and thought and thought... And here is how I got them working on my PC Windows 7... This will require at least one brand new or PC formatted ZIP..

Step 1- Go here https://lenovo-na-en.custhelp.com/app/subproduct/p/1/session/L3RpbWUvMTM2NTU0ODc0NS9zaWQvandtUHZqbmw%3D and pick one... This is for the ATAPI Zip100/250 drives.

Step 2- On the next page, choose windows xp as your OS.

Step 3- On the next page, scroll down to "Download Software & Drivers"...Download IomegaWare 4.0.2 For PC an install.

Step 4- After restarting, insert an mpc formatted disk, go to my computer, right click on your zip drive, click format... if this works, I hate you, you lucky bastard... and you can stop here...just repeat for all that you want...

Step 4- If the above did not work, put in the PC formatted disk...oh snap...it shows up...if not, you're screwed...you may need to fix the drive...anyway... After the good disk is in, right click it, then click copy disk. It may take some seconds. The copy screen will pop up. Click start.after some seconds the disk will eject. Insert the bad disk...OMG IT TELLS YOU TO FORMAT AND ACTUALLY DOES IT! So after formatting, it will tell you to put the first disk back in. Just hit cancel...then cancel... since you'll be back at the main choppy screen, repeat as needed.

Idk know if that was clear enough... If not ask me and I will clear it up...
