It's actually become entertaining. I created an e-mail with this guys rants and it's making it's way around the world. It's amazing. He doesn't need records to make music (he has all that talent)...yet he needs 70's stabs to sound like Em...yet Em uses NO records only synths, but he doesn't use "synth loops" (classic). So basically he can't make anything...he cancels himself out with all his options. I hope he hasn't wasted any money on equipment. HAHA. Honestly, he basically talked himself into a circle. I don't even have to clown him anymore...he clowns himself

oh ya...and it's nice that he wants to bypass 15-20 years of hiphop tradition called "digging" in which half the battle is finding that break nobody else has...

erkl brought up a good point

if u dont have money u can always start out with mp3's and cd's..
and learn what u like to sample, then keep an eye out for the records if you are a wax snob

perfectly said, go sample music you can easily get via downloading and just sample that untill you know what your looking for.

What should I say.. reading this thread was only laughter for me.
But I'd like to give u a piece of advice: Like the other have said, YOU should start with mp3s. I did that first and I'm glad I've done it, wanna know why? Now I know what do I like to look for when diggin in the crates. Dont be so narrowminded and listen lots of shyt in many other genres and decades.
Try everything until u find yo own style man. When you have found it I think u won't be hear wondering how to get samples like EM and other synthguys.
peace and good luck in diggin
