Jah when I last chatted to u about this and listed a selection of bugs with keygroups programs u said u weren't using them at all. Does this mean u have now started using them and have reported the bugs, knobs that aren't even active yet etc. to AKai?
have they been fixed in 1.4?
Like I said before it took me only 10minutes of using 1.3 keygroup programs to find a bunch of bugs. I gave up with keygroup programs and focused on the things that do work in 1.3 at that point you said you hadn't spent anytime with keygroup programs.

So I would be interested to hear what has been fixed for keygroups in 1.4?
Have you personally spent time working with them now and do you find that keygroup editing works well in 1.4?



Doubt if this will happen in 1.4 .....
But I would really like a decent channel strip browser with next preset on the -/+ buttons under the data wheel, that and quantise note length option.

I've done a lot of improvements in keygroups since 1.3, which makes them more usable (aside from the generally improved program editor for 1.4)

can someone please explain to me what keygroups are.

im reading the manual but its not totally explaining it.

keygroups are programs that let you spread samples chromatically across keys. You can also overlap zones, and turn the key tracking off, to avoid unwanted pitching of the samples.

at the moment i have my midi keyboard connected to my mpc and i can play all the samples across the keys.

are you talking about taking one sample and spreading it across the keys to play it polyphonically?

that, and you can specify certain samples for certain zones, so technically you could create a drum like keygroup by spreading each keygroup's zone across only 1 key.

yes, keygroup fx apply to the entire program.

how about fx applied to programs?

have they added that into 1.4 yet?

isn't that why we are talking about key group?
you can apply fx to keygroup programs (and plugin programs), but not to drum programs. In drum programs, you have to apply the fx to individual pads, or use sends.

Glad u have improved that area will be interested to try it when u guys release it

I listed at least four bugs here with keygroup sampling inluding knobs that don't do anything, keygroup All function not working correctly etc.

Will be really interested to see how you have tackled selecting a keygroup in a program with many key groups i.e can you do it from a MIDI keyboard and also how you have approaching assigning a key range to a sample again can this now be done from a keyboard.

Very much looking forward to 1.4, 1.3 was the first release that got me using the MPC Ren instead of Logic so looking forward to you guys making the REN even better

Can anyone confirm if there's drag n drop export audio included in 1.4 yet? this was needed sorely..

do you mean when you open the MPC as a plugin in a DAW and want to export the audio?

Yep drag and drop audio or midi from the plugin into a DAW track, I need this function more than any :O)

Yes that's exactly what is needed, I'm also using Maschine and Maschine currently is so much easier to get a complete project started and finished for mixing due to this huge oversight. ymmv

Anyways I hope they've taken care of this, I think I read on their site's forum, they did,but I wanted to confirm.
