saving to sandisk cf card

I Make songs and record sounds then when i try to save in the load/save screen to my 4gb sandisk ultra cf card and all it says under device for options are "HD" and "F-rom" under type it says "?????" i have not formatted the cf card yet, this may be the issue but i really have no clue as to whether i'm having an mpc issue, a cf card issue, or a cf card reader issue. any input would be helpful

I had the same problem once, Ive pressed only on LOAD and it worked. Hope that will solve youre problem.

It is probably showing up as HD, and probably needs to be formatted.

It is nothing to do with F-ROM, that is for a flash ROM option board, not a compact flash reader.
