good to see progress up in here..
so long as the ren can do all the basic functions of 2500/jjos1 ill be happy.im at crossroads after having to mash my iphone upon the main and misc buttons as usual this weekend, of whether to buy a 4th right hand PCB board and repairs for my 2.5k or get a ren for the simplicity of exporting to PT alone.. plus better quality effects/eqs other obvious things.
apart from that, why change a good thing?i get what y'all are saying, but im with e9000k and simply happy with the basics yo.
on the previous topic of chopping methods, i use the divide and conquer method 85% of the time. imo the 3k & 4k are way behind the mark of jjos1 chop shop. i had an xl for some yrs and couldnt imagine chopping on that now, as much as i loved it!
i can just imagine all the sideways responses akai would get, regarding ppl with their own legacy agenda.. just sayin'
*i really hope ping pong looping is working like it should, otherwise i would be pissed!
some of the 'bugs' are fkn bonkers to me!
*like no undo history from the package??
wtf
^all i can think is akai spent there money before they made it on that one!
*cant drag multiple files into whatever.
*i cringed hard when reading on the bug thread that there was a saving issue, coming from that akai os-new folder bug that lost me so many beats and countless days of my time!
QUESTION1#does the ren soft auto backup like PT does??
i have never lost a session with PT, after reading the bug thread this sparked my att.
2#im assuming you can copy sequences in a normal mp fashion?
@jah... regarding the track mixer/sequence/effect issue i read some ppl where having, which is human error imo as the mpc does not work in this way as jah was sayin..
i work in one sequence, make sure im near final, then copy ~20 times and construct in song mode! that is mpc workflow i assume akai have implemented into the soft?
--and yes this would be a good place to put a dropbox and ask me if i want to work in this way.... in a new project setting or a side bar tick.
dont get me wrong, i really want this to succeed. i'm pretty sure it will.
and i need the workflow!!
i myself wouldnt want to make enemies with an army of relentless mpc fiends!
forgive me for ranting a bit, this is my first post in while but thought i might as well hash it out in one post.
end of the day, my workflow is 100% mpc driven!
& traditional mpc workflow is just that.
but
IF U AINT GOT THE BASICS, YOU AINT GOT SHIT
