Monark XML

I just created an XML mapping for Monark. To use it, simply copy the files in the root of the attached .zip into the 'PluginLayouts' folder in the install directory.

Do note that this mapping was created for Reaktor 5, therefore the VST plugin should be scanned into the software, and Monark should selected within the plugin before using it. Saving a program including Reaktor and Monark can save the step of doing the each time you desire to use Monark from the MPC software.

I take this opportunity to ask : Do somebody have some Resources file to learn doing XML ? It does not looks so complicated when reading the *.xml with notepad.

But surely takes the time. Is there some softwares to get X-Y position easier, assigning Knobs and way to generate *.xml from a picture with point and infos ?

Open source editor here : http://xml-copy-editor.sourceforge.net/ Usefull tool for quick editing but I can't link JPEGs to preview results...

Sure a webmaster could do a simple dedicated page with small ads to allow us to genrate custom XML easier... AKAI should do this page but they won't give a tool for that.. unforunately.

Any suggestion ? I think it's time time to experiment with XML copy Editor see what It does with this zip file. See you soon friends ^^

I know this fairly time consuming and seeing that I haven't had much spare time to do stuff like this it's much appreciated!

I just received an email from NI advertising Monark. It's about $100 US and available via download. I will download it, the Reaktor 5 player, and this XML file today and take them for a test drive.

It would be cool if the major plugin manufacturers start including XML files with their plugins. It would also be nice if presets from more 3rd party plugins were selectable from the Ren's hardware.

I got a copy with my Komplete 5 to Komplete 9 upgrade.

I was very surprised by the quality of this Moog emulation, it's actually really really good sounding

Just got finished installing Reaktor 5 Player, Monark, and the Plugin layout you created. Nice work! Having plugins integrated into the GUI of the Ren is an awesome feature.

I dont have that synth but I absolutely do believe its a very good one. The only disappointment for me is the lack of polyphonic mode. I may get it though as I just picked up Maschine..

how does it work ?
I load an akai expansion plugin and tip on program edit but it doesn't t look like that.

I m on 1.31 do I do something wrong ?

Do I have to turn anything on to get the XML version ?

You have to have Reaktor/Reaktor Player + the new Monark Synth they just released.

You can do this with any of the Reaktor instruments to save you the time of having to load up Reaktor and then the instrument you want. I've done this with a lot of the Reaktor instruments (just no XML yet). It's a great idea and a time saver.
