Making A Beat But The Hook Needs To Kick In At The 15 and a

hey guys, im trying to make a beat but the hook(sample) kicks in half a bar eairly at the end of the loop. so instead of it being 16 bars then kick into the 8 bar hook, its 15 and a half and the hook is 8 and a half if that makes any sence..im pretty shur i could jus make it 24 bars and jus kick the hook in eairly but theres got to be an eaiser way..thanx

Sometimes with stuff like that it easier to turn your song into a long sequence, this allows you to place things in unusual bar positions by doing things in a more DAW-like, linear way instead of being constrained by looped sequences. This is kinda like making your sequences longer, but better.

I'm sure there are other ways but SONG > SEQUENCE is often slept on, and is better for a lot of sequencing tasks. Especially any tricky stuff.
