Since you are the most knowledgable cats in the biz, I want feed-back on the best DJ mixer for scratching, usability, overall street reputation. Feel free to add mixers not listed

IMO, I love the Vestax-05 Pro

vastex o5 -or o7 pro's are great but i just seen the rane ttm56 i want to know more about this one.

actually any vastex is good, they been around a while and most scratch dj's use them.

vestax is solid but im looking to upgrade to a rane.. eclers are big in the uk but i have never even seen one in the states..djm's are nice house blend style mixers but the faders don't last too long if you scratch..somebody told me that they saw babu useone w/ dilated live though..if money was no object id get a top end rane..

ranes are real nice but i got a vestax pmc oo5 and its tight. the 007s are real ill though.

im using the vestax 05 pro right now and i like it. ive had it for about 2 years and just had to replace the fader recently so it held up pretty good i think. i just got to uck around with the rane tt56? i think it was. it was the newer one. that is a dope effin mixer. fader was smooth as hell and its magnetic i believe so theres no contacts and you won't have to replace it for a long time. in my opinion if you got the cash go for the rane but you're strapped for cash go for the 05 pro.

RANE TTM-56!!!! I finally got this bad boy and it's the TRUTH!! I had the Vestax 05 and 07 and they cool, but Rane is in a whole nother class. Go to Rane's website and see the 'cola' test. www.rane.com/ttm56.html#top They immerse the fader in a cup of coke and it still doesn't bleed or pop!! It'll cost you a lil $$$ though, about $700.

I'm looking at the pioneer 909. The fader is very customizable and the new no-contact cross fader looks great. The fader curves can be changed independently on each side.

Effects are BPM driven. I heard the sound quality suffers in high db levels so that's not a good thing about it.

I like the 007, especially with the rehearsal button and scratch EQ. Hard decision.

The Rane TTM 56 is probably the safest best though, with the magnetic fader that is resistant to smoke....great feature. I think at the end of the day the TTM 56 takes it.
