"For live use, tracks can be muted/unmuted from the track mute screen, using the pads (in four banks) as channel mute/unmute buttons. The "next seq" button can be used to skip to a new sequence on the fly as well, allowing for some live improv action, if you're that way inclined."

Just read that about the MPC1K, is this possible on the 4K as well?

Not quite sure what you are asking here. If you are asking does MPC 4000 have
Track Mutes and Next Sequence pages. The answer is yes.

For Track Mutes , hit the dedicated Track Mutes button on top of the MPC

For Next Seq , hit the dedicated "Next Seq" button on the top of the MPC

If the question is, can one automoate Track Mute's (not sure if that is what you mean
by mapping track mutes to pads), then the answer is YES, you can record your
track mutes.
