MPC5000 vs Renaissance vs Studio...?

Should I keep my MPC5000 or get a MPC Renaissance, or perhaps a MPC Studio...? Any suggestion appreciated.

If you read my initial post, you can see that I'm only familiar with the MPC5000. Hence, I'd like to hear from people who have used the Studio and the Renaissance along with the MPC5000.

I wouldn't ditch the 5000.. Why are you considering the ren ? What do you think will make you have an advantage over the 5000 ? The reason i'm still considering a hybrid mpc(studio) is the fact that i cant still use a the legacy mpcs with it.. (import export features)

The 5000 is kind of limited and clunky, and I never got used to the noisy hard drive, etc. But since I don't know much about the Renaissance (or the Studio), I thought I should first ask for advice before making a knee-jerk decision.

Yet, I'd still like to hear pro/con about the Renaissance & Studio vs the 5000.

The MPC software was originally modeled to do almost everything the 5000 can do. The 5000 can do hard disk recording and has an integrated synth, the MPC software OTOH has a more flexible effects architecture, more file support (e.g. rex files), can host plugins, or be a plugin itself and therefore be integrated into a DAW setup much easier.
In terms of fun factor - the Ren wins by a landslide - much snappier, you can do more, the workflow is much more direct (dedicated mode buttons, 16 qlinks, colored pads, etc.). I rarely turn on my 5000 anymore, only for reference.
One thing where having both could be a good option though is if you use the MPC live and don't want to bring a laptop on stage. You can setup your projects at home using the MPC software, export it to the 5000, and take that one on the road.

I got a Studio first week it came out, and I still haven't had one session with it where it didn't crash. DL'ed each update, still the same deal. Still using my 5000 (I'm one of the lucky ones who got one that wasn't a lemon) until Akai gets things ironed out. (Hopefully...) As of now, I consider my Studio a $700 paperweight. Hoping once Reason 7 arrives with MIDI out I can finally use her as a controller, but some other nonsense will probably come up with it.
